I would never say I’m a good dresser. But I would say I’m a problem solver. So growing up, purchasing clothing became a little bit of a game – what brands should I consider? – What fabrics? – How do I want it to fit? – What’s the best? And yet in the end, I was disappointed every time.
The clothes felt uncomfortable. Or the item was never a match for whatever else I wore and was passed over and over until I forgot I even owned it (dig in your closet now if you don’t know what I mean). But worst of all, the clothes never looked good.
I was always kidding myself when I felt I made a smart purchase. Those hard earned dollars essentially went to waste, along with those hours of research too. Why was this so hard?
Rather than repeating the same process for the nth time, that problem solving brain of mine started thinking about something much more threatening: designing clothes myself!
It was much more difficult than I expected. And I certainly did not accomplish it alone. Yet at long last I created exactly what I was looking for: thoughtfully designed, versatile, and comfortable clothes.
Now getting dressed is one of the best feelings of my day. I hope you’ll feel the same way.
